This rosary is made in the Roman Catholic style with five decades of ten beads. The decade beads are 10 mm leopard jasper stone beads. The larger beads are 12 mm black onyx beads. The connector, the crucifix, and the small (3 mm) connecting beads are all antiqued brass or antiqued brass plated metal with small (4 mm) black onyx stone spacers. The entire rosary is strung on 49-strand wire with a nylon coating.
The connector is double-sided with a Madonna on one side (image 4) and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other side (image 5). The crucifix (image 3) is double-sided and approximately 1.5 inches (35 mm) tall. The full rosary is approximately 22 inches long when fully stretched out.
Leopard jasper beads are made from natural stone and therefore contain natural color variations from bead to bead, but these multicolored beads generally range from pink to peach to rust to brown to dark gray. The surface of the beads also tends to have a slight bit of texture due to the different inclusions.
