This rosary is made in the Roman Catholic style with five decades of ten beads. The decade beads are 8 mm round pink aventurine beads. The larger beads are 12 mm buri root beads, and the small wood beads are 4-5 mm faceted brown wood beads. The connector, the crucifix, and the small (3 mm) connecting beads are all antiqued copper or antiqued copper plated metal. The entire rosary is strung on 49-strand wire with a nylon coating.
The connector has the Madonna and Child on the front (image 4) with Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ on back (image 5). The one-sided crucifix (image 3) is just over 1 inch tall, and the full rosary is approximately 19 inches long when fully stretched out.
Pink aventurine beads are a form of aventurine with a peach tint. They range from opaque to semi-translucent and from pale to medium peach color.
The buri root beads are hand-carved beads from the root of the buri palm tree, which is native to India, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea, northeastern Australia (Cape York Peninsula, Queensland), and the West Indies. These beads can range in color from brown to black.
