Red tiger eye, rainbow obsidian, gunmetal and pewter rosary in the Roman Catholic style

Description

This rosary is made in the Roman Catholic style with five decades of ten beads. The decade beads are 8 mm red tiger eye stone beads. The larger beads are 10 mm rainbow obsidian stone beads. The connector, the crucifix, and the small (3 mm) round beads are gunmetal plated metal beads with small (4 mm) red tiger eye beads as accents. The entire rosary is strung on 49-strand wire with a nylon coating.

The connector and crucifix are a matching set in pewter (antiqued silver color), and the connector is one-sided. The crucifix is approximately 2.5 inches tall, and the full rosary is approximately 19.25 inches long when fully stretched out.

Red tiger eye is a naturally occurring stone with bands of dark reds and reddish browns. This stone has a natural chatoyancy (or iridescence) that shimmers in the light.

Rainbow obsidian is a natural stone made of black volcanic glass and has a chatoyant, rainbow effect from light refracting off of tiny air bubbles inside the stone.
