Description
This pendant is a Hill Tribes antiqued fine silver puffed heart charm. It is attached to a beaded strand that includes:
* mahogany obsidian round beads (4 mm)
* matte black onyx round beads (4 mm)
* black coconut shell roundels (4×2 mm)
The entire strand in strung on sturdy wire and is approximately 22 inches long. It closes with a stainless steel clasp.
Mahogany obsidian is a naturally occurring stone and therefore contains natural color variations from bead to bead, but is generally a deep reddish-brown volcanic glass stone with black woodgrain-like inclusions and streaks.
The Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand are a group of six different tribal groups that live in the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Burma meet. Although each of the tribes has its own distinctive ways and are all very remote, each tribe has silversmiths who handcraft each item from .999 pure silver. Each item is unique because of this handcrafting process, and the use of these beads helps support the continuation of their indigenous culture.
This item comes in a gift box suitable for gift giving.
Although I have done my best to photograph the color of this item accurately, please allow for variations in monitor settings and for the fact that the photo is taken under high powered lights.
