This round pendant is made from tiger cowrie shell, aluminum, and wood on a backing of coconut palm tree wood (see image 4) and stabilized with clear resin. It is attached with a stainless steel jump ring to a strand of antiqued bone hairpipe (1/2 inch) beads, oval wood (6 x 4 mm) beads, and round (3 mm) imitation nickel (zinc based) beads strung on nylon-coated 49 strand wire.
The pendant is 30 mm in diameter, and the entire necklace strand is approximately 27.5 inches long and closes with a stainless steel lobster clasp closure. The materials used make this necklace extremely lightweight.
The bone components are byproducts of the food industry.
