New beginnings are times of uncertainty that can bring a mix of anxiety, excitement, and dread depending on what those beginnings look like.
In the face of those powerful emotions, it can helpful to ground ourselves in the constancy of God. These prayers remind us that God is with us and for us in every uncertain beginning just as God is there in the fresh start of each new day.
The following prayers for use with an Anglican rosary are full of reminders of ways that God is always present with us no matter what we may be facing.
| Cross: | In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen |
| Invitatory bead: | LORD, you know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. (Jer. 29:11) Help me to clearly see your plans for me, and give me the courage and strength to live into them in every moment. |
| Cruciform beads: | Let me hear of your loving kindness in the morning, for I put my trust in You. Show me the road that I must walk, for I lift up my soul to you. (Ps. 143:8) |
| Week bead 1: | Lord, your compassion is new every morning. Help me to rest in you. |
| Week bead 2: | Lord, your forgiveness is new every morning. Help me to forgive others also. |
| Week bead 3: | Lord, your grace is new every morning. Help me see your grace at work around me. |
| Week bead 4: | Lord, your love is new every morning. Help me to love you and others with your love. |
| Week bead 5: | Lord, your mercy is new every morning. Help me to offer mercy to others. |
| Week bead 6: | Lord, your presence is new every morning. Help me to embrace your presence every moment. |
| Week bead 7: | Lord, your strength is new every morning. Help me to rely on your strength instead of my own. |
| Invitatory bead: | The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22-23) Amen |
| Cross: | Glory to God whose power working in us can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Amen |
